2015 Walk to Cure Arthritis - Greater Los Angeles

What to expect at the Event 

PARKING is $15 cash only. Please refer to the map for details on where to enter for parking. We encourage carpooling or use the Metro.

Registration is at 7:00am. Please check in at the registration booth to:
1)  Turn in any collected donations. You can bring checks to turn in to the Walk or you can mail them to 800 W. 6th Street, Suite 1250, attn.: Rachel, Los Angeles, CA 90017. Just make sure to include the team/participant that the check is to be credited to.

2) Pick up your free Walk T-shirt if you’ve raised over $100

3) Register on the day of the Walk if you have not pre-registered online. But we encourage everyone to register online beforehand.

When you arrive, you can visit the sponsor booths and enjoy complimentary bagels, donuts, fruit & coffee.

Opening ceremonies is at 8:15. Warm up is at 8:50.

The Walk starts at 9:00 am and goes around Exposition Park. 1 loop is 1 mile. 3 loops is 3 miles. After each mile you complete, you will receive a ribbon which you can tie to our “Champions of Yes” sign after you complete the Walk. Meet up with your team beforehand so you can all walk together. Everyone is welcome to join the Walk. Running is allowed. Dogs are welcome to come and walk with you!

After the Walk, you can visit the kid’s zone with snow cones, face painting, bounce houses, and much more! You can visit the sponsor booths, advocacy booth, mission & wellness and enjoy complimentary lunch. Make sure to join us for Closing Ceremonies! 

Passport: You can pick up passports at the registration booth. This is a map of each booth that we would love for you to visit. When you visit these booths, you will receive a stamp on your passport. Once your passport is completed with each stamp, you can turn this passport in at the Advocacy Booth to be entered for a chance to a RAFFLE PRIZE! You must be present at Closing Ceremonies to win and receive the raffle prize. 

Team T-shirt Contest: Participate in our Team T-Shirt contest! To enter, send a team representative to the stage at 10:45 for closing ceremonies. 

Closing Ceremonies will start at 11:00 am. You won’t want to miss it! We will announce raffle prize winners, Team T-shirt contest winners, Top Teams, Top participants, guest speakers, and MORE! The program concludes around 11:30am.

Afterwards, you are welcome to visit the Natural History Museum, Space Shuttle, California Science Center, IMAX, and more that is located at Exposition Park.

In the meantime:
Keep up your hard work in fundraising! You are all doing a wonderful job! Keep using your online fundraising tools, send more emails, and continue to post on Facebook.  People are twice as likely to donate with a credit card online as with check or cash. Need fundraising ideas? Try a garage sale and have all proceeds go to your team. Need some other ideas? Call us, we can help!

This website allows you to create a personal fundraising page from where you can email all of your friends and family in one shot. You can also personalize your page with a picture or a video. We can help with all of that.
